The Tellico Village Ladies Golf Association 9 Hole League (TVLGA-9) offers a perfect blend of competitive play, community spirit, and pure fun on the beautiful Tellico Village courses.
The Heart of the League: Fun and Camaraderie
While competitive, the TVLGA-9’s true focus is the fun and camaraderie shared every week. We welcome members ready to engage, improve their game, and enjoy the social side of golf. To ensure fair play, membership requires a current USGA GHIN handicap with an index of 46.0 or less (if a new member does not have an estabished index, submit six attested 9-hole golf round scorecards). For some weekly events, ladies pay a $2 fee which is used for cash prizes. To join, submit an application and dues (GHIN fee is included) to the league treasurer.
Our Dynamic Weekly Schedule
We keep things exciting with a rotating schedule featuring two primary type outings:
- Event Days: Fun, competitive games (individual, 2-person or 4-person teams) like scrambles, best ball, and more.
- Regular Golf: Standard stroke play, focusing on individual achievement.
Championship Events and Special Gatherings
Beyond our regular weekly play, the TVLGA-9 hosts exciting and competitive events:
- Major Tournaments: Includes the League Championship, Member-Member tournament and the Solheim Cup.
- Guest Day: We invite guests and are invited to play at various clubs across the surrounding area.
- Community Support: We host our annual Women Fore Women donation event to specifically support women’s organizations. We also host a Donation Day to support other local charities.
